custom tattoo submission

Please use the following form to submit your custom tattoo project proposal. DO NOT use this form to claim a flash design. There is a separate form for those submissions. If your project is accepted, you can expect to receive a personalized email regarding the proposed design and instructions for scheduling an appointment and paying the required deposit. Response times vary. Project proposal submission forms and emails take time to sift through, so please be patient.

WHEN TO SUBMIT

This form will only be available on the website when my custom books are open. Otherwise, it is disabled. All booking updates and announcements can be found on my Instagram (@horsefacetattoo).

DESIGN DESCRIPTION

Be descriptive but concise and focused. You will be able to submit reference photos and imagery to help communicate your ideas for the design. In addition, I may ask follow-up questions to better understand your vision. The collaborative process of designing tattoos requires open-mindedness and decisiveness. If there are elements that you absolutely want and/or do not want to be incorporated into your design, you must communicate them.

RESEARCH THE ARTIST

You may like a particular style of tattooing, but that doesn’t mean it is well suited for your project. Instagram is an excellent resource for familiarizing yourself with my work and process and ensuring I fit your tattoo project well. Ultimately, if I feel that your project is not a match for my style of tattooing, I may recommend another local artist.

ORGANIZATION & RESPONSE TIMES

In addition to the hours spent tattooing, running a small business, maintaining my website, managing my appointments, the shop schedule, and my social media platforms…there are so many emails! Please be patient when waiting for a response. Long story short, don’t call us, we’ll call you. Once we have begun email correspondence, it is critical that you respond only to the existing email thread. Tracking multiple threads for one client only increases response times and makes organizing my inbox a nightmare.

Size & Placement

For custom projects, provide the approximate size in inches & be as specific as possible regarding the area of the body you are considering for placement & any existing tattoos in that area. Feel free to use the "File Upload" section to provide a photo of the area.

Example: List any known allergies, sensitivities, concerns, and/or anything you feel you should add to your proposal. Please include your COVID-19 vaccination status here as well.
